Consider canceling your Instagram account if you’re becoming weary with the social media platform. You have two options with Instagram: You can learn how to deactivate your account, or you may remove it entirely. Here are the steps to delete your Instagram account:

  1. Visit Instagram.com using a web browser as the first step.
  2. If you are not currently signed into Instagram, log in.
  3. Select the Profile option by clicking on your profile photo icon in the upper-right area.
  4. Click the Edit profile button at the top of the page.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and select Deactivate my account temporarily.

  8. Choose an explanation from the drop-down menu, then enter your password.

Deactivating Instagram desktop online account.

Delete Your Instagram Account Permanently

If you are certain that you will never return to Instagram, you can completely deactivate your account. As with deactivating an account, you may delete your Instagram account using the mobile app, but only if you have an iOS device.
